The .mmp format
The XML file that holds a whole project, the same one the app exports, and how to read it safely.
Export a project as .mmp gives the same
.mmp file the app exports: XML holding every shape with its corners, holes and
buffers, spots, groups, picture references, products and the project's settings.
The app can import it again, so it is also a way to keep your own copy of a
project.
curl https://api.measuremaponline.com/api/v1/projects/PROJECT_ID/mmp \
-H "Authorization: $MMO_API_KEY" \
-o project.mmpThe answer is application/xml rather than JSON.
The schema#
The format's schema and a validator are published at github.com/blueblinkone/mmp-validator.
Compatibility#
New elements and attributes are only ever added as optional ones. A reader written for an older file keeps working with newer ones, provided it ignores what it does not know. Read files with a real XML parser, and with external entities switched off.
JSON instead#
For most integrations, Get a project's measurements is simpler: the same shapes and spots as JSON, with their areas and lengths already worked out.
